One of the most popular animals to gain access to residential homes and properties are squirrels. Though they usually live in trees, squirrels will often move into the attics and soffits of homes and buildings.

It’s common that homeowners mistake squirrels for birds or simply put up with them in the hopes that they’ll eventually leave – but they don’t (why would they?). Squirrels that stay in a den site for extended periods of time can cause significant damage. This may include damage to insulation, urination, defecation, and chewing on wires or other structures in the area.

Squirrels are not only incredibly messy, but their small size lets them access areas behind your walls that other animals usually can’t get to.
Not only do they let themselves in, but their entry points can also act as an invitation for other wildlife to come inside (Mice, Rats, Bats and Raccoons).

HOW DOES OUR SQUIRREL REMOVAL SERVICE WORK?

WILDLIFE INSPECTION

We start all jobs with a detailed inspection to understand your unique situation. We will inspect the roof, and attic for signs of squirrel damage, feces or babies.

IDENTIFY ENTRY POINTS

Once we've identified where the squirrels are getting in we install a one way door that allows the squirrels a way to evict themselves, while also preventing them from re-entering the area.

PROTECT & PREVENT

The key to successful long-term protection from squirrels is to proof any potential weak points on the home or structure. Any preventative work would be installed at the same time to eliminate further damage during the removal process.

RETURN & REINFORCE

2-3 weeks following your service, we will come back to the property to remove the one way door, and repair and reinforce the entry points.

HOW WE'LL EVICT THE SQUIRRELS

Wildlife Exclusion methods are our preferred way to control wildlife. It is the most humane, permanent, and effective method of keeping squirrels out of a home compared to trapping and relocating. We don’t think that these methods effectively address wildlife issues because they are only temporary solutions. Not only does exclusion last longer than other methods, but the homeowner doesn’t need to constantly monitor for animals or pests.

The most humane way to safely remove a squirrel from a residence is by using the one way door method. This door is as resistant as it comes – it is constructed out of a heavy gauge steel mesh, and squirrels cannot chew through this material.

Following the inspection, and after locating the entry point, we install this door over the access area. This allows the squirrels to exit, and then shuts behind it preventing them from getting back inside. 2-3 weeks following your service, our team comes back to the property to remove the one way door, and repair and reinforce the entry point.

HOW WE'LL KEEP THEM OUT

Squirrels, and other rodents have teeth that never stop growing. That’s the reason they’re always gnawing on things–to keep their teeth sharp and worn down. When you add their size to the equation, as well as the fact that our homes provide desirable shelter for them, it’s easy for a squirrel to access your attic. If a home is not properly sealed, they will continually find new ways to get inside.

During your service we install custom fit reinforcements made of industrial strength steel that squirrels cannot tamper with or destroy – This is what prevents them from breaking back in. All work done by us comes with a two-year warranty, and if you go for our full service recommendation, you’re guaranteed five years of protection!

Here are some signs you are dealing with a SQUIRREL

Increased Squirrel Sightings

Are you noticing more squirrels than usual around your property? If you are seeing and hearing squirrels on your roof, gnawing on vents, on your deck or porch chances are they are looking for a new den site to call home!

FAQ image

Damage to Roof Vents

If you have noticed any damage to your roof vents, it could be a sign that squirrels are living in the attic. The most vulnerable part of any roof is the vent. Roof vents are usually made out of plastic or metal, and they can easily become compromised by squirrels looking for a way into your attic space - which happens more than you might think!

FAQ image

Exterior Entry Points

Squirrels are incredible climbers and major opportunist. In fact, they will do whatever it takes to get into your home- including creating and breaking through any weak points on the exterior of a home. These pests quite often leave quite obvious clues behind after they break in which makes them easy enough for homeowners like yourself to notice.

FAQ image

Compromised Roof Line

Roof lines are fairly easy for squirrels to damage giving them access to walls and attic spaces. If roofline has visible holes or chew marks chances are high that you have a raccoon, or at the very least encouraging other wildlife (raccoons, rodents, bats) to find a home in your attic.

FAQ image

Sounds in Attic

The squirrel is a pesky little creature who likes to make his presence known. He can be heard gnawing on everything in sight, from wood beams inside your attic all the way down into electrical wires. So if you hear unusal thumping, scratching and chewing from your walls or attic it's likely that there are one or more squirrels in your house.

Signs of Activity

Scattered Leaves or Other Nesting Materials:
Squirrels are notorious for nesting inside buildings and homes once they have getting access to the property. These furry critters will use anything as building material for their nests, such as leaves, paper, and cloth. If you see any unusual signs of nesting materials scattered about your home or office space, this is an obvious sign of squirrel infestation.

Urine and Feces:
Squirrels are known for destroying insulation. While sometimes the insulation damage is from gnawing, chewing or tearing, in most cases insulation is damaged by an animal’s excretions. Over time urine and feces will accumulate and will deteriorate the insulation fibers and even soak the wood or drywall lying underneath. This reduces the function of the insulation and creates a hazard to the health and safety of the household. If a squirrel has made its way onto your property, it will use the space as one litter box.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

HOW OUR CUSTOMERS DESCRIBE THEIR FIRST CLASS EXPERIENCE

"Justin was thorough and professional with his work."

Recently a squirrel entered my home through the stove exhaust vent. He managed to chew his way into the walls, ceiling and made his way to the soffit. I could hear him running and chewing throughout the day and night. First Class Wildlife Removal was able to come out and set a one door which would allow the squirrel to leave but not be able to get back in. A week later they returned to remove the door, replaced the vent and installed a galvanized steel mesh to prevent this from happening again.

Justin was thorough and professional with his work. The price was very reasonable and significantly less than another company I had received a quote from. I highly recommend this company if you have any wildlife issues on your property.

"Justin is the definition of good customer service. A pleasure to work with. I feel much better in my home now. Thanks Justin!!!!"

I called a well known company. Told them my problem may possibly be larger than just mice because of what I was hearing. Was told my name and number would be given to the proper

department. 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting to hear back. They also wanted a down payment just to come to my house.

Called Justin. He came right away, inspected my attic and told me it was just mice. Explained to me why the noise seemed so loud. We discussed the price and Justin started to solve the issue right away. Justin did the work we talked about and even did a few extra preventative measures for free. wouldn't take any money until the job was done.

Justin was friendly, courteous and took the time to answer the many questions I had. I would recommend Justin and his company to anyone who needs this service. In my opinion, Justin is the definition of good customer service. A pleasure to work with. I feel much better in my home now. Thanks Justin!!!!

"Good service is hard to come by these days, Thank you so much Justin!"

We highly recommend First Class Wildlife Removal Services. We have not been able to stop talking about how amazing Justin was. We discovered that we had Racoons living in our garage roof only after seeing all the damage that was caused by them. After seeing such amazing reviews on our local neighborhood Facebook page we decided to give him a call. He was able to come the following day and start removing our guests. He safely and respectfully removed mama raccoon and her 4 babies from our garage. He sealed up the roof and also sealed off any other possible entryways for critters! He was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend First Class Wildlife Removal! Absolutely amazing service! Good service is hard to come by these days, Thank you so much Justin!
